Day 01: Nairobi - Elementaita

Distance: 145 km. (2 hours) Commence drive to Lake Elementaita, experiencing the breath taking dramatic landscape of the Great Rift Valley en route. You will be treated to a truly remarkable game walk that includes Flamingos as well as other species of birdlife in this ornithological paradise. Dinner & night game drive. Lake Elementaita Lodge, managed by the Friends of Lake Nakuru and Elementaita Conservation Project, was formerly Kekopey Ranch, built by English settler Lord Gaibraith Cole. It retains the features of early colonial homes a red brick building with shady terraces, an internal courtyard, paneled walls and a sitting rooms with a library and log files.
